Curiosity named a 2021 AdAge Small Agency of the Year
Following a year like never before, Curiosity is recognized with a prestigious 2021 AdAge Small Agency of the Year Award, bringing home silver in the Midwest category.
The 2021 AdAge Small Agency of the Awards celebrate small, independent agencies “that showed their strength and creativity by producing innovative and exciting work despite the overwhelming hurdles presented by the pandemic.”
Curiosity is one of only 30 of 300 agency entrants selected by a team of esteemed industry jurors. This is the first time in company history that Curiosity has earned an AdAge Small Agency of the Year honor.
While 2020 challenged nearly every small business, Curiosity proved that being a small, independent shop can be a positive in turbulent times. The agency adapted to remote work, completed virtual productions and succeeded despite the hurdles. Some highlights:
h Curiosity welcomed 10 new clients with a 100 percent close rate, including Procter & Gamble brands like Native and Charlie Banana, Donatos Pizza, Dr. Teal’s, Farmer Focus, Baby Brezza and Robert Rothschild Farms. These clients joined a family of long-standing partners like Cincinnati Bell and Cincinnati Insurance Company.
h The agency rebranded itself in March of 2020, launching a new identity and website, and adding services including influencer marketing, as well as new positions like data scientists.
h While Curiosity employees adjusted to remote work in 2020, the agency maintained 100% of its staff and hired full-time employees and virtually-based interns from across the country.

Consulting firm introduces private training sessions for advisers
Premier Social Security Consulting of Cincinnati, which teaches the National Social Security Advisor (NSSA) Certificate program, is now offering private, group training sessions to advisers across the nation.
The interactive, customizable group sessions are designed to fit the exact needs of the organization or the department receiving the training. “Advisers are in a very competitive environment today, and as a result, they are looking for upto- date, relevant Social Security knowledge,” said Premier partner Jim Blair, a 35-year veteran of the Social Security Administration who co-founded Premier 12 years ago. “Now more than ever, we’re seeing that businesses want to invest in

education for staff, so they remain competitive and so they can continue to deliver as much expertise as possible to clients. These private, group sessions are an ideal format for this Social Security training to occur.”
Premier’s NSSA program is the nation’s only accredited Social Security education certificate program. Accreditation is provided by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) in Washington, D.C. The NSSA Advisor certificate is awarded to advisors who take the NSSA course and pass an assessment. To date, more than 2,500 advisors have received the National Social Security Advisor certificate since the program began in 2013.
According to Premier Partner Marc Kiner, the private webinars have been well-received because they are flexible and convenient. “The format is more convenient, and the timing can be flexible, based on how the organization wants to set up the on-site sessions or the webinars,” Kiner said. Kiner is a 41-year certified public accountant who sold his CPA firm to concentrate on Social Security education.
Bill Van Meter, president of American Retirement Counselors, said that convenience and flexibility were two key benefits of the private, group sessions. “Once we made the decision to invest in our staff with this education, we knew we wanted to do it as soon as possible, and as quickly as we possibly could. This format allowed us to do that,” he said.
In addition to the private, group sessions, Premier is also offering live, public webinars and on-demand videos as a part of our NSSA certificate program.
